Stefano Giovannoni

Stephano Giovannoni studied architechture at the University of Florence. He is a founder member of Bolidist movement which avocates the use of streamlining in product design, and founded a studio with Guido Venturini known as King Kong Production to undertake research into architecture and the design of domestic products, interiors and fashion. From 1989 they designed the Girotondo range for Alessi with its 'stick-man' motif.

During the 1990's he has designed several post-modern products for Alessi with intentionally humerous and playful designs such as the Merdolino toilet brush, Mary biscuit box, Lilliput salt and pepper etc.
